Kinusaiga is a Japanese art form that transforms fabric into beautiful, collage-like artwork—without any sewing! In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the basics of this unique technique while creating a cheerful scene you'll be proud to display all year long.
Join us for a relaxing evening of creativity, and leave with a finished piece, a new skill, and inspiration to make more. All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary.
What You'll Learn
- The basics of traditional kinusaiga
- How to plan a fabric composition
- How to cut and position fabric pieces
- How to tuck fabric into grooves to create clean edges
- How to layer colors and prints to build a collage-like image
- Tips for creating crisp lines and polished details
- How to finish a kinusaiga piece for display

Included with your class:
- Fabric scraps
- Foam board
- X-acto knife
- Pattern
- Seam ripper

Class Policies
Your spot in the class is not guaranteed until payment is made. You can purchase a class in-store or through our website. Students receive a 10% discount on materials purchased for the class. By signing up for a class, you consent to receive occasional email marketing.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your registration, store credit will be given for cancellations up to 3 days prior to the beginning of a class; no refunds will be given if the cancellation is less than 3 days. Refunds are not given for missed classes.
If we do not fill our class minimum the class will be cancelled and students will be issued a full refund.
