Sewing 101 - Petal Pouch

Learn the basics of sewing while making an adorable, actually-useful zippered pouch! In this beginner-friendly class, we’ll use Noodlehead’s Petal Pouch pattern to build your sewing skills while creating a finished project you’ll be excited to take home.

You’ll practice essential skills including working with a sewing pattern, cutting fabric, using interfacing, sewing accurate seams, adding a lining, and — yes! — installing a zipper. The Petal Pouch is rated “advanced beginner,” but we’ll walk through the process together and make those next-step techniques approachable for newer sewists.

By the end of class, you’ll have a finished Petal Pouch and a handful of new sewing skills you can use on future projects.

No sewing experience necessary. Sewing machines and class materials are provided.
