Mosaic Knitting with Amy Tozer

Are you interested in colorwork knitting, but don’t know where to start? Mosaic knitting is a great introduction to knitting with two colors. This three-session class, suitable for advanced beginners, will teach you the basics of mosaic knitting.

Students will create the Pressed Flowers Kerchief by Amy Christoffers, a simple pattern that calls for two skeins of DK or worsted weight yarn.

Students Learn: the difference between colorwork methods, how mosaic knitting works, reading written instructions and charts, fixing mistakes, and altering the pattern to make a larger kerchief. Students must come to class knowing: a cast on method, the knit stitch, and the purl stitch.

Class fee does not include supplies.

Students will receive a 10% discount for their class supplies:

• 2 skeins of DK or worsted weight yarn with 200+ yards each, in two different colors, - one for the background and one for the flowers
• Size US 6 32” circular knitting needle (if using DK weight yarn) or size US 7 or US 8 32” circular knitting needle (if using worsted weight yarn)
• Darning needle
