Inkle Weaving with Jennifer Rogers
Intro to Inkle Weaving
Learn the basics of how to weave: how to pick supplies, color theory, looms, weaving structure and patterning.
The class includes an inkle loom warping demo, and students will weave a bookmark to take home.
Jennifer Rogers is a lifelong crafter, educator, and historian. She first wove on an inkle loom at age nine at a fine arts camp and her current weaving practice started ten years ago when she helped build her loom and learned how to inkle weave again to show students in her history classes how heritage craft works. She loves woven structures and knowing what colors play well together.
No weaving experience necessary.
This class meets on Thursday September 10 from 6-8pm
