Crafty Mindfulness Workshop
In this 2-hour hands-on class, you'll learn the foundations of why mindfulness helps manage racing or overwhelming thoughts, and how to bring that practice into a variety of craft making — including our featured project, yarn pom poms. You'll learn to make pom poms from start to finish — winding, wrapping, trimming, and shaping — while practicing simple mindfulness techniques that actually stick and that you can carry into other crafts down the road. We'll pair each step of the pom pom process with a grounding practice, bringing awareness to your thoughts, senses, and breath while your hands stay busy.
This isn't about doing it perfectly. It's about building small, repeatable practices for calm that you can carry into your everyday life, long after the pom poms are done.
No prior crafting or mindfulness experience is required — just bring your curiosity and a willingness to start.
Materials Needed The class fee includes all yarn, tools, and supplies needed to complete your pom poms.
Dates Offered Tuesday, August 18, 6:00-8:00PM
About the Instructor
Stephanie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and coach by day and The Crafty Social Worker every chance she gets. She loves pairing mindfulness with hands-on creativity and believes a busy, creative brain doesn't need fixing — just the right outlet. When she's not in sessions with neurospicy, anxious, or overwhelmed brains, you'll find her sewing, working with yarn, dabbling in paper crafts, playing with her pup and reptiles, or convincing herself she definitely has room for one more yard of fabric.
