4-Week Spinning Intensive with Jaime Rosegren

Discover the art of making your own yarn on a spinning wheel! In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn the fundamentals of wheel spinning, including fiber preparation, drafting, treadling, adding twist, winding onto the bobbin, and finishing your handspun yarn. We'll also cover wheel setup, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting common challenges.

By the end of class, you'll have spun your first yarn and gained the skills and confidence to continue your spinning journey at home. No previous spinning experience is required.

Skill Level: Beginner
Duration: Four 3-hour sessions (August 15, 22, 29, and September 5)
Time: Saturdays, 3pm-6pm
Materials: Spinning wheels and fiber are provided for use during class. Students are welcome to bring their own wheel if they'd like help getting it set up and spinning smoothly.
