The Project: The Costa Tote by Helen’s Closet

We will be making  the Costa Tote pattern by Helen’s Closet. This free pattern is excellent for beginners because it is stylish, functional, and forgiving. Its clean lines and sturdy construction make it the perfect project to learn how to sew straight seams, maintain seam allowance, attach straps, and achieve a professional finish.

What You Will Learn

• Machine Basics: Get comfortable threading the machine, winding a bobbin, and navigating basic stitch settings.

• Fabric Handling: Learn how to layout and cut your fabric accurately for the best results.

• Construction Techniques: Learn the process of sewing a bag, including creating secure handles and inserting a lining

• Finishing Touches: Learn how to press your seams for a polished look.
